How to Use pcap2msc

Quick Start

Go to the pcap2msc page and drag and drop a <filename>.pcap file onto the page.
If everything works correctly, the Message Sequence Charts (MSCs) will appear.

What Can I Drop on the Page?

Trace Files

Any file with the extension .pcap or .pcapng is supported. We will attempt to decode it and present you with MSC content.

MSC Files

Files with other extensions will be treated as containing information for the MSC edit box.

Restrictions

• Only the first 2000 packets in a trace file are decoded.
• A limited set of protocols is currently supported (more will be added soon).
